When we arrived at the bride’s home in Petresti that morning, the skies were sending their bright, hot waves towards the gathering guests, but the increasing sound of thunder had us picture a heavy storm raining on our plans.
Alina and Jules’ wedding was truly special. Not only because it was such a colorful mix of Italian-Romanian-French-German-English conversations and guests, huge balloons and little balloons, or that a part of it took place among the beautiful ruins of the Transylvanian fortress of Alba Iulia. It was so special because Alina and Jules held on to their wedding dream and made it happen despite the challenging period they went through just a couple of months before the set date. Side by side, with trust, determination and the love for each other, they overcame the difficult time, and here they were, rocking the perfect wedding and being an inspiration for all of us.
In the end, the thunder turned out to be just an empty threat, and the dozens and dozens of lanterns lit by Alina and Jules and their dear ones filled the night sky with light, love and hope.
